Visual artist and performance maker Hetain Patel is running our 2014 summer school.
Taking place in the LICA performance studios and the Nuffield Theatre, this will be an opportunity to experience the devising and making process of an artist making work across video, photography, dance and theatre.
We are seeking participants from performance and film backgrounds. Ideally we are looking for 8 participants with a movement background (dance, physical theatre, circus) and 4 participants with a film background (film, visual art).
All participants should be keen to be involved in the devising process and have an interest in cross-disciplinary working.
The week will form part of Hetain’s research into a new video installation he will be making later in the year and will involve learning to work collaboratively, sharing skills, and recreating action scenes from films including Spider-Man and The Matrix, in a DIY manner.
The cost of the summer school is £100 and runs full time Monday - Friday 4th - 8th August
