Moving Stories

In this workshop Clod Ensemble’s Artistic Director Suzy Willson will share some of the ideas and processes that go into finding a movement language for a text based performance such as The Red Chair.

Drawing on French theatre teacher Jacques Lecoq’s ideas about physicality - this workshop will touch on illustrative movement, character, and genre as well as the role that music has to play in illuminating a narrative.

Participants are invited to bring a story with them that they wish to tell - this could be something they have written, an existing fairy tale, or a section of a novel.
