Our Funders

Lancaster University

As a top-10 UK Higher Education Institution, Lancaster University provides an unequalled context for our activity. As well as hosting much of our work in some fantastic arts venues (Nuffield Theatre, Peter Scott Gallery, Great Hall and LICA Building – see Our Venues), Lancaster University provides invaluable annual support for our core staff and programming activity.

Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA)

Live at LICA is the professional, public and industry-facing element of LICA, which also provides high quality academic teaching and research in art, design, film, music and theatre.

Arts Council England

From April 2012, Live at LICA became a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England, funded to support the development of new work, to provide support for artists, and to deliver innovative participatory projects with local residents.

Lancashire County Council

From September 2012, Live at LICA is funded by Lancashire County Council's 'Cultural Drivers' fund to develop and distribute our outdoor and free arts activity in new locations across the county. The funding also enables us to extend the reach of our Curate the Campus projects.

Peter Scott Gallery Charitable Trust

Working with the Peter Scott Gallery Trustees, we are lucky to have the support of an endowment fund that provides an annual income to support gallery acquisitions and collections activity (see Collections section).

Lancaster University Alumni / Friends Scheme

We regularly benefit from the fundraising and charitable giving activity of the Friends/Alumni of Lancaster University. In recent years this has supported our Steinway replacement campaign, gallery collections activity and the development of this website.
