Invisible Flock: Sand Pilot

Exhibitions

Made in collaboration with Cedric Robinson, the Queen's official guide to the sands, this project uses the sands of Morecambe Bay and the famous cross-bay walk as a dramatic backdrop to the work.

In one lifetime you will have taken enough steps to carry you around the world...

Sand Pilot is a project about walking. Made in collaboration with Cedric Robinson, the Queen's official guide to the sands, the project uses the sands of Morecambe Bay and the famous cross-bay walk as a dramatic backdrop to the work.

Sand Pilot is a beautiful and subtle performance that merges text, soundscapes, cultural history and stunning landscape, all experienced on an incredible walk across Morecambe Bay.

Inspired and created from the guide's history, the experience of the walk and the bay itself, as well as personal and unique stories, Invisible Flock invite you to join them for one of four special walks exploring how and why we walk, and the journeys we take in our lives.

Each event includes an 8-mile walk from Arnside to Grange over Sands, guided by Cedric Robinson.

Commissioned by Live at LICA, supported by Arts Council England and Lancashire County Council.

Virtual Lancaster have put together a useful pdf of important safety notes when crossing Morecambe Bay.

A percentage of your ticket price will go to Cedric's chosen charity.
